Self care

Most of us put self care on the back burner. With all of life’s responsibilities and daily obligations, actions made to care for ourselves become indefinitely postponed, minimized or dismissed. After all, people in the helping professions take mandatory courses on the importance of self care, illustrating how this common sense concept is something most of us need to be taught rather than it coming natural to us. The moral of this story, is that our emotional well-being relies largely on our ability to reflect on our personal needs and to care for them as if it is a requirement of life-which it should be!
